Day 4

This morning, we were so excited to wake up and find out we were having pancakes and nutella! What we soon realized was that these were very different pancakes than we were used to in America. They were triangular and the pancake was actually filled with the nutella. They were sooo delicious. I'll definitely need to learn how to make those when I get home.
Nutella and jam pancakes!
After saying goodbye to Daniella, we were on our way towards Split, Croatia where we would be stopping for the night before continuing on to Pula. We got a bigger charter bus this time, and the Montenegrin team joined us for the trip! We traveled through two borders (Bosnia and Croatia) during the TEN HOUR trip. Fortunately, I (of course) slept most of the ride but was woken up occasionally by the singing Montenegrins (some songs in English too - Misery was a personal favorite of mine) or the Sound of Music playing on the screens throughout the bus. I was so thankful to have brought my travel pillow and Genna was thankful that I make a good pillow :)

Saying goodbye to Daniella (in the dress)

After our ride to Split that took almost four hours more than it should, we finally arrived at our hotel around dinner time. We quickly took our things to our rooms and got ready for our quick 15 minute workout/pool workout. The pool at the hotel was really cute, with "grass" and swings surrounding it.

After dinner, the team headed down toward the beach to look around and take some pictures. The sun was setting and the scenery was beautiful. The water stretched out until it hit the beautiful mountains in the distance. It was gorgeous! We took a lot of pictures and meanwhile, Rachel lost her room key. The room keys here aren't like American hotel room keys...they are legit keys, so we were in a lot of trouble when the hotel found out we couldn't find it. So, we took back to the beach with our flashlight apps on our phone since the sun was completely down at this point. I swear we searched every inch of that beach at least three times....and still nothing. Giving up, we headed back up to the hotel to get ready for bed and soon enough Rachel found out that someone had turned in the key. Hooray! Tomorrow we continue our ride to Pula for the opening ceremonies of the tournament!
